Pinup Parade in the Park started five years ago, and now takes place twice a year - every Fall and Spring, the PUG Team comes together to celebrate friendship and Pinup Girl Clothing at Disneyland. It’s become quite a tradition to see everyone in their Pinup best, spending the day frolicking from one ride to another, and sharing their mutual love for all things PUG.
The event has grown exponentially – it has become a challenge within the community to come up with the best Disney Bounds. PUG fans have become quite clever incorporating their favorite Pinup Girl Clothing into their Disney Bounds. Even after five years, it’s still amazing to see the Disney Bounds they come up with at each event.PUG’s Creative Director Doris Mayday joined forces with event coordinator Danielle Zavala to create something truly unique with this season’s Pinup Parade in the Park. The day began with a meet-up in front of the Disneyland opening gates, where the PUG Team passed out goodie bags filled with exclusive PUG treats. And, as a nod to those die-hard fans, the first 50 Puglets received a special Star Wars piece of jewelry. From there, the PUG contingent walked over together as a colorful and stylish group toward Fantasyland, where the first round of Trivia was to begin. Before the games though, Doris asked for a moment of silence for our beautiful Paige Nicole, who passed away the previous weekend. The loss of Paige – who not only modeled for PUG, but also was a beloved member of our community – hit everyone hard. Paige also lived for Disneyland, and it was an honor for those who loved her dearly to celebrate her at her favorite place. Paige must have been looking down on us all, because the sun rose high in the sky for our annual group photo. Paige was represented in the photo with Doris Mayday holding a beautiful portrait of Paige, surrounded by our loving community. A wonderful time was had by all, and though it may have rained a tad, everyone shone brightly in their PUG best. In addition, the PUG team passed out nearly $4000 worth of gift cards, took a ton of photos, and laughed all day! From all of us at Pinup Girl Clothing, we hope everyone who attended had as happy a day as we did…and we can’t wait to see you all again in the Fall! -Whitney Vigil [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
