Merlot, candlelight, and a staircase worth sweeping down.
The Lucrezia is our renaissance gown, and merlot gives it a warmer, redder glow than our burgundy. Deep, rich, a little bit wine cellar of a very old castle. It photographs beautifully and it looks even better by candlelight.
The neckline is a deep sweetheart. The sleeves are proper bishop sleeves, full through the arm and gathered into a cuff, so they billow every time you move. The skirt is a gathered circle that takes up a great deal of room, which is entirely the point. Two deep pockets hide in the seams, so it earns its spot in Thanks, It Has Pockets. Lined through the bodice, with a back zip.
Cut from a 95% poly, 5% spandex stretch crepe. It has weight, it holds its shape, and it swishes.
One heads up on that neckline: it sits properly low, so a demi bra is your friend.
